Letters, 1663-1685.

This collection contains letters written from Hall to his mother, Rebeckah Byley Hall Worcester Symonds (1616-1695), and his step-father, Samuel Symonds (1595-1678), who was his mother's fourth husband. All letters are addressed to Ipswich, Mass., where Symonds was Deputy Governor from 1673 to 1678. These letters include family matters, list of articles sent from England at his mother's request, accounts of his mother's real estate in England, for which Hall apparently acted as agent, and religious ramblings. Also included are two letters written to Hall's nephew, Robert Hale (1668-1718/19). All items are in chronological order.
